I am dual fellowship trained in General Practice and Musculoskeletal Medicine and work in both areas. Musculoskeletal Medicine is a specialty that is involved in the diagnosis and management of painful conditions affecting the joints, muscles, vertebral discs, and nervous system. As a fully qualified GP I can also see you about any other general health problem. My other special interest and qualification is around using ultrasound in the clinic to make more rapid and accurate diagnoses of various conditions.

I mix my time between Ellerslie Medical Centre for General Practice, and Marua Medical for Musculoskeletal Medicine. However I can see enrolled patients at Ellerslie for musculoskeletal problems. If suitable for the condition I can do injections to help with pain (such as steroid) and can use ultrasound guidance for optimum accuracy. I can also see people not registered with Ellerslie Medical Centre under ACC if you have a referral, however it is generally best for non-enrolled patients to see me at Marua Medical.

In addition to my clinical work, I do part-time work for Health Navigator, a health information website.

Outside of work I am a husband and father to a retired greyhound called Ellie. My wife is a Women’s Health doctor.
