I am a fully qualified GP with broad interests in all aspects of medicine. I have also developed special interests in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Ultrasound. I am doing specialty training in Musculoskeletal Medicine but plan on continuing to work in both areas in the future. I hold a Musculoskeletal Medicine diploma, am a member of the New Zealand Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine, have professional relationships with many Musculskeletal Medicine specialists around the country, and also work in a specialist Musculoskeletal pain clinic. In addition to my clinical work, I do part-time work for Health Navigator, a health information website.
I can see you about any musculoskeletal condition (involving a joint, bone, muscle, tendon, nerve, disc, or widespread pain) to make a diagnosis and discuss treatment options. If required I can do injections to help with pain (such as steroid or dextrose) and can use ultrasound guidance for optimum accuracy. I can also see people not registered with Ellerslie Medical Centre under ACC if you have a referral. Please see fees.
As a fully qualified GP I can also see you about any other general health problem. I use ultrasound in the clinic to make more rapid and accurate diagnoses of various conditions.
Outside of work I am a husband and father to a retired greyhound called Ellie. My wife is a Women’s Health doctor.
