Ruth trained in the UK, completing her post graduate specialist GP training in 2012, she has worked in new Zealand since 2017. She is well experienced in all aspects of family medicine, with specialist interest in Women’s Health. Ruth has additional post graduate qualifications in family planning, sexual health and women’s health, and extensive experience as a LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception eg Mirena, Copper IUD) practitioner, providing IUD and implant insertion and removal procedures, and also minor skin surgery. She also prioritises medical education, with regular teaching roles for medical students and GP registrars. We love Ruth’s warm and compassionate manner.

Outside of work she enjoys an active lifestyle, and chasing after her 2 young sons.
