Fees and Services Update

Fees Update: From 1 August 2018 the consultation fee for enrolled adults will be $51. For enrolled children 13 to 17 years the fee will be $41. Children under 13 remain free. There is no extra charge for newly enrolled but not yet funded patients. The fees for casual adult patients and visitors to NZ are increasing by $2 and details are on our website www.ellersliemedical.co.nz.
Fees for all other services remain unchanged. The $5 discounts for community card holders and students continue.

Update on some of our improvements: Our trial of appointments was very successful so we have extended the hours these are offered while maintaining the option to walk in. This has seen a significant reduction in waiting times which has been very welcome both to patients and the team.
We’ve seen a steady increase in the use of the Portal for ordering repeat scripts, viewing test results and booking appointments – if you’re not yet registered on the Portal, please speak to the reception team who will be happy to help you.
We have also introduced late night options to 6pm on Monday and Friday along with increased nursing staff hours.

What’s next? As part of our focus on continuous improvement, we will shortly start integrating texting with our other services. Please check we have your mobile number if you wish to be part of this service. We will be able to text recall reminders, test results, and appointment reminders.
We know there is a demand for virtual (video) appointments so we are looking into how this can work. We’ll provide more information about this in the coming months.
